Humboldt University: From book burning to Hamas symbols

Hello Madam President von Blumenthal, hello history professor Wildt,

Have you forgotten that your university started the book burning on May 10, 1933? That one of the first steps towards the extermination of the Jews came directly from their doorstep and from their predecessors? And now they are defending the sympathizers of Hamas, which on October 7, 2023 committed the largest murder operation against Jews since the Holocaust.

Did they miss the Jewish stars that marked those doomed to die back then? Just like yesterday the Hamas triangle in your university marked employees who are in line for extermination? They tolerated that. They tolerated the occupation. You say in the interview, “We accepted that.” You, Ms. von Blumenthal, want to be there for your students.

You, Professor Wildt, explain in front of the camera that you distrust the police, which is why you accompany the Hamas sympathizers so that nothing happens to them after they have vandalized and smeared parts of the university, which they have documented in their own videos. They are outraged that the police record the data of lawbreakers in order to carry out criminal prosecution in the interests of our society.

Overall, Humboldt University seems to have deep problems. A professor distrusts the rule of law and thinks he has to protect the masked Hamas friends from the police. This implies that the police would attack the perpetrators if he did not provide personal protection.

Neither of them sees the magnitude of these actions by Hamas fans. What this means for the Jews in Berlin, in Germany: This does not appear in their statements. The demand for her resignation is certainly justified. They do not accept the social and historical responsibility of their university in particular.
